Suter Brook is the village that grew up where the inlet meets the city, and it is the pocket Lucas calls home. Groceries, coffee and dinner are a short walk, and the Shoreline Trail starts right at the water and runs east into Rocky Point Park.
The homes here are the newer side of Port Moody. Towers and low rises from the last twenty years or so, with the mix tilted to two bedroom plans that work for young families putting down roots and for downsizers who want everything close. Brewers Row sits just east along Murray Street, and on a weekday morning the West Coast Express has you downtown in about 25 minutes.
The village is 22 acres that Onni built around a simple idea. Daily life happens on foot. More than 30 shops and services sit in the pocket, and almost all of it is within a few minutes of every front door here.
Families land here with schools near the top of the list, so here is the honest picture. Suter Brook sits in School District 43, and these are the catchment schools for addresses in the pocket.
Moody Elementary
The catchment elementary for Suter Brook addresses, just east along St Johns Street. The school runs at or near capacity most years, so families register early.
École Moody Middle School of the Arts
The catchment middle school, also east on St Johns. The arts run through the whole program here, and late French immersion starts at this level.
Gleneagle Secondary
The catchment high school. It surprises people that it sits over in Coquitlam, but that is where Suter Brook addresses feed for grades 9 to 12.
Catchments are set by School District 43 and they do shift over time. Before you buy on a school, confirm the exact address with the district school locator. And ask Lucas. He reads these catchments the way every parent here does, with his own kid in mind.
Join the Suter Brook list and Lucas will send you new listings in this pocket as they hit the market, plus the odd note on what sold and for how much.
