College Park is the established hillside pocket on Port Moody's west edge, below Burnaby Mountain. Detached homes from the 50s through the 70s sit on generous treed lots, with townhouses on Seaview and Cecile and the Westhill Place apartments as the pocket's condo side.
It is a residential pocket first. The pool, the parks and the school are inside it, and the shops sit a few minutes south in Burquitlam or east in Moody Centre. People choose College Park for the lots, the trees and the quiet, and they have for fifty years.

Daily life in College Park splits cleanly. Play and school happen inside the pocket, at the pool, the parks and Seaview. The shopping run goes a few minutes south to Clarke Road and Burquitlam, where the pocket's real main street has quietly formed.
The full grocery run lands just south of the pocket on Clarke Road. Safeway at Burquitlam is the anchor, open early to late, with Hannam Supermarket and H Mart covering the North Road side and Shiraz Farm Market for produce and halal meats. A grocery and more retail are also planned inside the Portwood development rising on Cecile Drive.
There is no cafe strip inside the pocket. Coffee runs to the Clarke Road corridor, and North Road's Korean restaurant row a few minutes south does the heavy lifting for dinner out. Moody Centre and Brewers Row are the other direction residents head when they want a night on a patio.
Burquitlam Plaza carries the daily services load for the pocket's south end, a Shoppers Drug Mart and an RBC branch among its tenants, right beside the station. Inside the pocket itself, services stay residential, which keeps the streets quiet.
Westhill Park is the pocket's recreation heart, with Westhill Pool, one of the city's two outdoor pools, plus playgrounds, sports fields, a lacrosse box and an off-leash dog area. Seaview Park sits beside the school, the Alfred Howe Greenway connects the neighbourhood down to the inlet, and Burnaby Mountain's trails and SFU are immediately west.
Seaview Community School is a designated community school, running programming beyond the school day for the neighbourhood. The Glenayre Centre just above the pocket runs city recreation programs, and the rest of the civic run, library, city hall and the theatre, sits over in Newport.
Burquitlam Station on Clarke Road is the pocket's SkyTrain door, Millennium Line with a bus exchange on the doorstep. The 180 and 156 run Clarke Road and Moody Centre Station serves the pocket's east end. By car it is Clarke Road south to Lougheed or St. Johns east into the centre.
